E2020 High School courses on computer are offered for credit recovery during
the school day. Students must have approval of a counselor for enrollment.
Correspondence Courses HHS allows students to earn credit through correspondence courses. Courses are designed around the
required course curriculum outlined and approved by TEA. Personal motivation, self-discipline, and common sense are crucial
for correspondence work. Prior approval by the counselor must be obtained in order to receive credit through correspondence.
The student must pay the cost of each course plus the expense of a textbook. HHS does not fund the cost of these courses.
Distance Learning Classes SuperNET Virtual High School offers courses for high school
credit. These course offerings are free, at no expense to the student. These courses are internet-based classes and are usually
accessed from home. Enrollment is limited due to participation from other East Texas high schools. Courses are managed by
certified teachers employed by SuperNET. Students must register with Ms. Debbie Cline and complete a student inventory. The courses available are:
Spanish II, Spanish III, Spanish III Section
2, World History, AP US History, World Geography, Sociology, U.S. Government, Economics, Special Topics in Social Studies:
Old Testament & New Testament, Health, Psychology, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Math Models with Applications, IPC,
Pre-AP Biology, Art 1, Basic Computer Information Systems I, Webmastering, Final Cut Studio 101, Final Cut Studio 102, Online
Teacher Resources.
Dual Credit On-Campus Dual Credit courses are offered
during the school day on our campus via interactive TV through Kilgore College. Classes are instructed by Kilgore College
professors. Students must register through Kilgore College and pay the appropriate tuition and fees. To be eligible, seniors
must be THEA Exempt or successfully complete the THEA test or Kilgore's Accuplacer test. Courses available on our campus are:
English 1301, English 1302, Government 2305, Government 2306, History 1302, History 1302, Speech 1315, Music Appreciation
1306, Speech 1315, Psychology 2301, BCIS 1305, *World History.
*To be eligible to enroll in this World History the student must have a 2300 on 9th grade reading
TAKS and pass the Accuplacer test. Students must also have approval of Kilore College. Some courses are available for dual credit through area post-secondary
schools for both high school and college credit. It is the responsibility of the student to register and pay for the courses.
A senior may miss one block of class time during the school day if enrolled in an evening class. To be eligible, students
must be THEA Exempt or sucessfully complete the THEA test or the Accuplacer test. Students can seek more information from Ms. Debbie Cline. The most commonly taken courses are:
